Luckily, some compassionate individuals stumbled across a tiny feline who was coated in grime and grease. They took action just in time to save the scrappy kitten.
Around four weeks ago, an individual with a big heart stumbled upon a small kitten wandering alone in South Gate, California. The poor creature was in a pitiful state, completely covered in motor oil, dirt, and fleas. Furthermore, he was severely undernourished.
Thankfully, the compassionate person took the kitten to safety and turned to social media for assistance. A groomer from One 4 One Grooming and More responded to the call, took him in, gave him sustenance and refreshments, and did their best to help restore his hydration levels.
Upon realizing that the little kitten required urgent medical care, they reached out to nearby rescue organizations, praying for a positive outcome. Fortunately, Friends for Life Rescue Network, situated in Southern California, came forward to lend their assistance. According to Jacqueline DeAmor, the co-founder of the organization, they initially assumed the kitty was four weeks old. However, upon closer examination, they discovered that he was seven weeks old and weighed just one pound.
After receiving a thorough wash from the groomer, the kitten underwent a remarkable change. The accumulated dirt and oil were completely removed, revealing a beautiful white coat. However, when the kitten was brought to foster care the following day, it was discovered that he had various health problems.
Laszlo, the adorable kitten, was showing signs of weakness, dehydration, and was having trouble consuming any food due to his tiny body. As a result, he had to be taken immediately to the emergency veterinary clinic as his condition worsened. Although he was struggling, the little fighter continued to fight for survival, receiving IV fluids and undergoing treatments while being in and out of the hospital. Though Laszlo was fragile, he would meow at his caregiver, conveying his desire to live.
Jacqueline graciously offered to care for Laszlo so he could receive the necessary 24/7 attention. Due to his weak state and lack of hunger, she resorted to feeding him with a syringe and administering nutritional supplements. To keep the kitty cozy, they adjusted the room’s temperature and covered it with comforting blankets.
In less than a day, Laszlo’s condition improved and he began to feed himself without assistance. He also showed affection towards his caregivers, seemingly grateful for their efforts in rescuing him. Following several hospital visits and assessments from four different vets, the kitten made a full recovery and was back on his feet again.
According to Jacqueline from Love Meow, the cat was showing signs of playfulness and no longer appeared dehydrated. In a matter of days, the cat started gaining weight consistently and within a week, he fully recovered and returned to his foster family. Although tests came back negative, his condition improved significantly. Now, he is an energetic cat.
The little kitty with its striking blue eyes and white coat turned out to be deaf in both ears. However, this hasn’t affected its ability to do anything that other cats can do, and it refuses to let this hold it back. Laszlo, as the kitten is named, has regained its healthy appetite and is quickly gaining weight to match its age. It’s also full of boundless energy and tries to catch anything that moves with a fierce and sassy attitude. According to Kaitlyn Hemphill, its foster mom, they couldn’t determine Laszlo’s true personality when it was ill. But now that it’s healthy, Hemphill reported that it’s an absolute wild and crazy creature!
According to Kaitlyn, their cat can run around the room for hours without feeling exhausted. However, when he is in a calm mood, he becomes an affectionate and purring machine. After recovering from his health problems, the cat has become very playful and always looking for something to pounce on. He enjoys attacking his owner’s feet while they walk past him and running around the room like he’s on a race track. Kaitlyn mentioned that their cat has a fun personality and they are grateful that he has pulled through and is now happy and healthy.
