A puppy with an unusual condition has caused confusion at a dog shelter. The Casas Cuna Shelter in Puntarenas, Costa Rica took in the mutant pooch after her owners were unable to care for her or pay for her necessary treatment. Dubbed as Mia, the pup has five legs and two tails, with the extra foot and tail located near her spine. The rescue center has been regularly updating the public on Mia’s progress, including a clip of her drinking water from a bowl despite suffering from diarrhea and constipation due to her genetic disorder. The shelter promised to deworm her in the coming days as she has lots of bugs.

The puppy has a unique physical condition where it possesses two vaginas and two anuses. As per the founder of Casas Cuna, Sharon Solano, the puppy uses both the anuses to relieve itself, which causes some discomfort. In order to help the puppy, Casas Cuna is requesting financial assistance to cover the cost of surgery. To fully understand the dog’s condition, vets will conduct x-rays and ultrasounds before proceeding with treatment.

The animal shelter emphasized the importance of our assistance due to the high cost involved, stating that the puppy is a top priority. Mia’s siblings were born without complications and have already been adopted by local families. A farmer in Sultanpur, India was amazed last November when his goat gave birth to a kid with cyclops eyes. The goat had two large eyes fused together in the middle of its forehead, with two eyeballs beneath a single eyelid. A large crowd gathered to witness this rare phenomenon. Umesh Maratha, a seasoned goat farmer, has never seen a goat mutation like this before.
