Steve Greig, a Colorado-based accountant, shares his home with a unique set of furry and feathered friends. With ten dogs, the majority of which are seniors, two cats, and farm animals like Bikini the pig, two ducks, two pigeons, two chickens, and one rabbit, Steve’s love for his critters is evident. He is especially devoted to providing a loving home to senior dogs who have a harder time finding permanent homes.
Corey shared that he had a childhood surrounded by numerous animals. His parents, who shared his love for them, would grant him his wishes as long as he could look after them. On the other hand, Steve had always kept three to four dogs with him until one of them passed away, which fueled his desire to further assist animals.
Corey expressed his worry regarding the passing of his friend, which lingered on for a couple of months. He believed that something remarkable must occur to alleviate his sorrow, which could not have taken place if his friend was still alive. Therefore, the man made up his mind to provide a better life for another dog. He visited a nearby shelter and decided to adopt a puppy with the lowest probability of being adopted. Consequently, Corey brought home a 12-year-old Chihuahua named Eeyore, who had a heart murmur and severely damaged legs. This was only the beginning of Corey’s love for animals.
Greig takes care of a total of 10 dogs, but only eight of them belong to him. The remaining two are owned by his sister and roommate.
Corey shared that he takes care of ten dogs with varying diets, and as a result, he wakes up at 5 a.m. every day to prepare breakfast for all of them.
